Sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) is a suirfactant derived from the fatty acids of coconut oil and isoethionic acid.

It has been approved for use in cosmetics, subject to concentration or use limitation.

It is commonly used in acne treatments, anti aging lotions, baby shampoo, bar soaps, shaving cream, shower gels, and facial cleaners.

Use: up to 50% in rinse off products like shampoo and soap.

        up to 17%  for leave on products like acne treatments and lotions.
